2025 Cultivar Database

The 2025 Database includes 1,794 cultivars and taxons along with 20,487 photographs, representing more than double the content of the previous 2020 database. The collection also contains 33 species/taxon folders with an additional 920 photographs, bringing the total database size to approximately 44 GB. This is available as an online download.

To support research and reference, all cultivars and taxons are cataloged in a comprehensive spreadsheet that includes:

• Species information
• Hybridizer
• Year of introduction
• Flower form
• Wister color code

Color data is exceptionally complete, with 99.3% of flowers (all but 15) and 98.2% of buds (all but 33) documented in digital RGB format. These colors are displayed directly within the spreadsheet, providing an accurate visual representation of each cultivar. For users who prefer traditional color references, McKelvey/Ridgway color descriptions are also included where available.
